Following a recent rock slide, there is a large boulder on the Al Foster Trail approx. The trail follows the original route of the Pacific Railroad, constructed in 1854. Sherman Park is a 68.7 acre park located on the upper St. Mary's River.
There is sand to make your journey to the river gravel floor easier to walk towards the running river water. Sherman Beach Park is very primitive but relaxing. Both are located on Grand Avenue, just about 1/4 mile away from each other. You can still walk or ride around it, just be advised that it is partially blocking the trail. Rock Hollow is paved and mostly shady, with soaring bluffs through a dense forest.
