In fact, I grew to bond with all the characters in this wonderful book: Kate and Toby, Martha Wow! There are some new characters and some old so there will be plenty of pickings for couples in the books to come. The pain they bothThis is the second book I have read from Teresa Driscoll and she doesn't disappoint. Martha is a bit of a nomad, travelling in the summer and coming back to Aylesborough-on-sea in the winter, Martha moves in with Kate and Toby who are relatively new to the area.I have been so excited about reading Teresa Driscoll's new book. I will leave my review on Amazon I was auto approved to read this book on Netgalley and looked forward to another Bookouture novel, always fabulous books and this one did not disappoint either. Smart, sharp-witted, and fueled by enjoyably over-the-top action, The Long Kiss Goodnight makes up in impact what it lacks in consistent aim.
I will read anything that Gena writes...but this book was disappointing.
After a heartbreaking tragedy in Kate's life she finds herself lost and not knowing how to move forward or deal with her pain. Characters were boring and not well developed, apart from Kate. Having read two books by this author now, I’m discovering that Teresa Driscoll has a way of creating authentic characters that are genuinely lovable. Ah! A very strong first in a series from an author who can be hit or miss for me. I wish I could give it ten stars, twenty! Her Lords of the Underworld are perfection. This book left me feeling like I had been welcomed into a community of very real people and I'd shared in their grief and friendship. This book! But as hostility turns to forbidden romance, his feelings for her will be used against him .

This is hard to rate, but I think 3 stars, because it was somewhat enjoyable, and had some yummy scenes. The two women meet and forge a wonderful friendship, which is exactly what they need. It has a sexy, unloved alpha-male... and a tortured heroine who hasn't allowed her difficult life to diminish the light of her spirit.I love Gena - absolutely love her. It is about pain and loss, which is truly heartbreaking, but it is also about courage and inspiration. I like how Gena explained the thought process behind Vika's reasoning that she couldn't give in to any of the darkness surrounding her.

I don't understand why it is ok for her in her new found religion, to write graphically about abuse and murder, but when it comes time for 2 people in love and comI am so sorry to say that I think Gena Showalter and I will have to part ways. It reminded me of the early LOTU books!
