I won't be booking a 'staycation' in the Wellington, but certainly felt it was a safe place to have an operation. I’ve been using the hospital for many times and always happy with doctors care but disrespect of my time as described above is disappointing and frustrating. Nursing was ok but so many different staff involved every shift. Staff were friendly and caring. I know the Wellington to be a very good hospital and so answered accordingly. We have continued to see patients throughout the COVID pandemic in line with the NHS England guidelines. Seeing Mr Dorward at the foot of my bed at 7am every morning meant it was the start of another day towards my recovery. There is no email communication. Some evenings there is no doctor. The Wellington Hospital Wellington Place, London, England, NW8 9LE . did not address my main concern but I was being directed to A&E or "call and ambulance" - Patients requesting face to face have quite clearly become an irritant and Covid has given them the perfect excuse to conduct telecoms, zoom, or any other kind of non-contact with patients they can think of - including pushing your problem onto hospitals which should be able to be handled at a GP surgery, This makes a mockery of the NHS who have coped quite admirably and hopefully in the not too distant future will be once again opening its doors and welcoming patients with a smile and not a scowl.
